Donley Watt is the author of the short story collection, Can You Get There from Here? (TCU Press, 1994), which won the Texas Institute of Letters Steven F. Turner Award for the best first work of fiction in 1994. Two novellas were published as Haley, Texas, 1959 (Cinco Punto Press, 1999). He also has published three novels with TCU Press: Reynolds, Dancing with Lyndon, and The Journey of Hector Rabinal, a finalist for the 1995 Western Writers of America Spur Award. The Texas native has lived in San Antonio for the past seven years, teaching writing at Trinity University during most of that time.
