Our theme is TAKING LIBERTIES: WRITERS RESPOND TO WAR AND ITS EFFECTS AS WELL AS RECENT SUPREME COURT DECISIONS IN THE 21ST CENTURY.

GUIDELINES: Submit up to three unpublished poems (100 line limit each), one unpublished short story or creative nonfiction piece (5000 word limit), any subject, any style, between August 1, 2024 and midnight November 15, 2024.
AUTHOR NAME MUST NOT APPEAR ANYWHERE ON THE SUBMISSION! $25 reading fee ($3 is charged by Submittable.) You will be instructed how to pay by our submission service. All prose must be double-spaced. 12 point font. No relatives of or employees of CUTTHROAT, no friends, family or students of judges are eligible for prizes. UNPUBLISHED stories, poems and nonfiction only.
Winners will be notified by December 31, 2023.
